RaGoÛt: An Arpeggio of Tastes
نویسندگان
چکیده
This paper presents the RaGoÛt system developed in response to the ECCBR’08 Computer Cooking Contest call. It proposes a case authoring approach that combines domain-specific and independent knowledge sources to create a feature vector representation of recipes. Case retrieval uses semantic similarity knowledge acquired from WordNet. This is combined with exact matching to enforce adaptation-aware case ranking, followed by substitutional adaptation of mismatched query ingredients. RaGoÛt addresses all outlined CCC tasks: compulsory, negation and menu challenges. Preliminary results from the compulsory and negation tasks are very favourable for both retrieval and adaptation. Although RaGoÛt can also retrieve three-course menus in response to the third menu task, its adaptation strategy for menus is being improved.

Arpeggio: harmonic compression of ChIP-seq data reveals protein-chromatin interaction signatures
Researchers generating new genome-wide data in an exploratory sequencing study can gain biological insights by comparing their data with well-annotated data sets possessing similar genomic patterns. Data compression techniques are needed for efficient comparisons of a new genomic experiment with large repositories of publicly available profiles. Furthermore, data representations that allow comp...
متن کاملP300 Harmonies: A Brain-Computer Musical Interface
We present P300 harmonies: a P300-based Brain-Computer Musical Interface. Using a commercial low-cost EEG device, the user can voluntarily change the harmony of an arpeggio by focusing and mentally counting the occurrences of each note. The arpeggio consists of 6 notes separated by an interval of 175ms. The notes of the arpeggio are controlled through 6 switches, where each switch has two possi...
متن کاملThe Study of Relationship Between Cultural Globalization and Consumption Tastes (Case Study: the People of 15 to 45 Years Old Live in Shiraz)
The taste and fashion for Bourdieu is an obvious and simple thing in the nature of modern society, and can be understood by the social hierarchy of society. one of the most important factors in this research is that there are several factors in this research to be part of it in terms of globalization in the culture sphere. The aim of this study was to understand the relationship of cultural glo...
متن کاملArpeggio: Metadata Indexing in a Structured Peer-to-Peer Network
Peer-to-peer networks require an efficient means for performing searches for files by metadata keywords. Unfortunately, current methods usually sacrifice either scalability or recall. Arpeggio is a peer-to-peer file-sharing network that uses the Chord lookup primitive as a basis for constructing a distributed keyword-set index, augmented with index-side filtering, to address this problem. We in...
متن کاملArpeggio: Metadata Searching and Content Sharing with Chord
Arpeggio is a peer-to-peer file-sharing network based on the Chord lookup primitive. Queries for data whose metadata matches a certain criterion are performed efficiently by using a distributed keywordset index, augmented with index-side filtering. We introduce index gateways, a technique for minimizing index maintenance overhead. Because file data is large, Arpeggio employs subrings to track l...
